Geeky moment: Tim Berners-Lee’s handwriting scrawled across a now-faded sticker placed on the front panel of the world’s first ever web server, which went online in 1990. It proves my long-held fear that the World Wide Web could have come to nothing if, for instance, a night cleaner at WWW HQ had come along and unplugged this in order to plug in a Hoover. There’s another image of the complete set-up here. [via derivadow on flickr]
